Script execution via unescaped layout title values
Published Dec 17, 2022 · Updated Nov 19, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SLEEPEPI Slice 84.0 and 84.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through crafted title data. Four Haml layout templates concatenate title, subject, project, and site-name values, then mark the result html_safe and suppress Rails escaping. Exploitation requires a high-privilege account and another user's page view, enabling attacker-controlled script in that user's browser.
