Privilege escalation in Zyxel GS1900-8 and GS1900-8HP firmware 2.70 Patch 3 allows local users to execute commands as root via SSH. The SSH interface permits an administrator to escape its restricted shell into a root shell; Zyxel has not published the faulty code path. Administrator credentials and enabled SSH access are required, and SSH is disabled by default.
