Browser script execution via unescaped message parameter
Published Mar 28, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Reflected XSS in StellarWP WPComplete 2.9.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts in a user's browser via a crafted link. The plugin reads the message parameter in its WordPress administration display and renders it without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Execution requires a logged-in user to visit the attacker-controlled URL, exposing data or actions available to that user's browser session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
