CVE-2022-45793

Cross-user code execution via writable executables

Published Jan 10, 2024 · Updated Apr 17, 2025

Improper authorization in OMRON Sysmac Studio 1.54.0 and earlier allows local users to execute arbitrary code as another user. The installer places executable files in a directory whose permissions allow lower-privileged users to overwrite those trusted files. Exploitation requires an authenticated local account and execution of a replaced file by a different user, compromising the victim user's integrity.
