Authentication bypass via unauthenticated session issuance
Published Feb 13, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Authentication bypass in COMFAST CF-WR6110N 2.3.1 allows remote attackers on the same network to make authenticated HTTP requests. When a legitimate user is logged in, a request to /cgi-bin/system-status makes the web server issue a valid COMFAST_SESSIONID without credentials. The cookie exposes authenticated router functions; code execution requires chaining a separate flaw, and no service interruption is shown.
