Remote stack corruption via unbounded rules copy
Published Dec 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Stack buffer overflow in IP-COM M50 15.11.0.33(10768) allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted rules parameter. The formAddDnsHijack function passes rules directly to strcpy without verifying that the value fits its stack buffer. An oversized value overwrites the saved return address and crashes the router; the network path requires no privileges or user interaction.
