Service crash via oversized page parameter
Published Dec 2, 2022 · Updated Apr 24, 2025
Buffer overflow in the httpd module of Tenda AC6 V1.0 firmware 15.03.05.19 allows remote attackers to crash the router. The fromNatStaticSetting handler processes an oversized page field submitted to /goform/NatStaticSetting without enforcing the destination buffer's length bound. The proof of concept supplies a session cookie, although CISA assesses that privileges are unnecessary; the demonstrated consequence is service interruption rather than data access or modification.
