Service crash via oversized firewallEn parameter
Published Dec 2, 2022 · Updated Apr 24, 2025
Buffer overflow in Tenda AC6 V1.0 firmware 15.03.05.19 allows remote attackers to crash httpd via a crafted firewallEn parameter. The /goform/SetFirewallCfg handler passes an overlong firewallEn value to formSetFirewallCfg without enforcing the destination buffer's bounds. The management endpoint must be network-reachable; the published proof of concept demonstrates service interruption, not code execution or data access.
