Router crash via oversized endIp input
Published Dec 2, 2022 · Updated Apr 24, 2025
Buffer overflow in Tenda AC6V1.0 15.03.05.19 allows remote attackers to crash the router through a crafted endIp value. The formSetPPTPServer handler accepts an oversized endIp value from /goform/SetPptpServerCfg without enforcing the destination buffer limit. The scoring record treats the request as unauthenticated, although the published proof of concept includes a password cookie; denial of service is the demonstrated consequence.
