Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published Dec 7, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Arbitrary code execution in AyaCMS 3.1.2 allows remote attackers to run PHP code by uploading a crafted file through an AJAX endpoint. The upload_file branch in ajax.php invokes include/uploadifive/uploadifive.php, where a commented-out extension check permits PHP uploads beneath upload/~tmp/. No login or user interaction is required; successful exploitation executes attacker-supplied PHP with the web server's privileges.
