Browser script execution via unescaped activepath value
Published Jan 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 3, 2025
Reflected XSS in EyouCMS 1.6.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute browser scripts through a crafted FileManager request. The new-file action reflects the activepath GET value into its HTML response without neutralizing a tag-breaking payload. A user must open the crafted request, after which the script runs in the victim's EyouCMS origin and can read or alter session-accessible data.
