Browser script execution via reflected cookie value
Published Jan 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 3, 2025
Reflected XSS in EyouCMS 1.6.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser through ENV_LIST_URL. The article-add response places the ENV_LIST_URL cookie value into HTML without neutralizing a closing quote, element boundary, or script markup. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator's browser to submit the crafted request, and the script can read or alter data available to that session.
