Router crash via unchecked page parameter copy
Published Dec 8, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda W30E firmware 1.0.1.25(633) allows remote authenticated users to crash the router via a crafted HTTP request. The SafeClientFilter handler passes the page parameter to sprintf without checking its size, overflowing a stack buffer. The published proof of concept authenticates with administrator credentials and demonstrates a crash; its root-shell claim is not demonstrated.
