CVE-2022-4550Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Audit-log IP spoofing via trusted forwarding header

Published Feb 27, 2023 · Updated Mar 18, 2025

IP address spoofing in windyjonas User Activity 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to falsify IP addresses in activity logs. The plugin accepts the client-controlled X-Forwarded-For header as the request IP address and records that value without verifying a trusted proxy path. An unauthenticated login request is sufficient to create a misleading dashboard entry, corrupting audit provenance without granting account access.
