Unauthenticated command execution via unrestricted cmdinput
Published Dec 8, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Command injection in Tenda W6-S v1.0.0.4(510) allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through the HTTP /goform/exeCommand endpoint. The endpoint copies attacker-controlled cmdinput with vos_strcpy and passes it to tpi_get_ping_output, which executes the value without restriction. The request is unauthenticated and network reachable; successful exploitation can provide arbitrary command execution, including root-level control of the router.
