Email flooding via missing per-address throttling
Published Nov 18, 2022 · Updated Apr 28, 2025
Missing email throttling in JetBrains Hub before 2022.3.15181 allows remote authenticated users to trigger repeated messages. JetBrains has not published the affected email-sending endpoint or the check that fails to apply a per-address rate limit. Low-privileged network access and repeated requests are required; the resulting mail flood impairs availability for the targeted address.
