Database data extraction via unescaped map identifier
Published Feb 13, 2023 · Updated Mar 21, 2025
SQL injection in Concept Beans MapWiz 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to read database data. The map-saving request handler inserts the user-controlled id field into an existing SQL query without adequate escaping or parameterization. Administrator privileges and wp-admin access are required; the published time-delay payload demonstrates query control, while broader write or execution effects are not established.
