Unrestricted database access via hard-coded passwords
Published Jan 18, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025
Hard-coded passwords in Sewio RTLS Studio 2.0.0 through 2.6.2 allow remote attackers unrestricted database access. The application database retains fixed passwords for select users instead of deployment-specific secrets, making those credentials reusable across installations. Database network reachability is the stated gate; a successful login exposes every database operation available to the unrestricted account.
