Traceroute disclosure via unauthenticated diagnostic interface
Published Dec 27, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2025
Missing authentication in Dahua DSS Server on listed Windows releases allows remote attackers to obtain traceroute results. The exposed interface accepts a specially crafted packet and performs a traceroute without authenticating the requester after firewall access control is bypassed. The attacker must reach that interface after bypassing the firewall policy; the reported consequence is limited to disclosure of traceroute results.
