Unauthenticated device enumeration via crafted search packet
Published Dec 27, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2025
Missing authentication in Dahua DSS products on Windows allows remote attackers to enumerate devices across specified IP ranges. The device-search interface accepts a crafted packet after its firewall access-control policy is bypassed, then scans the supplied IP range without authenticating the request. No credentials or user interaction are required; exploitation discloses reachable devices without reported data modification or service interruption.
