Unauthenticated SSHD service control via crafted packets
Published Dec 27, 2022 · Updated Apr 11, 2025
Improper access control in Dahua DSS products allows remote attackers to enable or disable SSHD by sending a crafted packet. The Linux interface changes the SSHD service state without authentication after the packet bypasses firewall access-control policy. Enabling SSHD makes the service reachable but does not grant a shell by itself; disabling it interrupts SSH administration.
