Authenticated arbitrary-file download via crafted interface packets
Published Dec 27, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2025
Unrestricted file download in Dahua DSS software allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files through a crafted interface packet. Dahua has not published the affected interface, request fields, or the authorization operation that fails to confine downloads to permitted files. An ordinary DSS account and network access to the interface are required; the demonstrated consequence is file disclosure, with no reported file modification or service interruption.
