Cross-site tracing in Mozilla Firefox before 107, Firefox ESR before 102.5, and Thunderbird before 102.5 exposes protected credentials. Fetch and XMLHttpRequest header validation accepts nonstandard method-override headers that make supporting servers execute TRACE and echo HTTPOnly cookies and authorization headers. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled script execution and a server that accepts TRACE through an override header; the reported consequence is credential disclosure.
