Secret extraction or SSRF via external entities
Published Nov 15, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
XXE in Jenkins SourceMonitor Plugin 0.2 and earlier allows attackers to extract agent secrets or perform SSRF via crafted report XML. The Publish SourceMonitor results post-build step parses attacker-controlled XML without disabling external entity resolution. Impact requires control of a report file without broader control over build steps or executable build content, a narrow condition that exposes agent-held secrets or lets the agent issue server-side requests.
