CVE-2022-45389Network attack vector

Unauthenticated build triggering via unprotected webhook

Published Nov 15, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025

Missing authorization in Jenkins XP-Dev Plugin 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger builds through its webhook endpoint. The /xpdev-webhook handler accepts an attacker-specified repository and starts each matching job without authenticating the request. Network access to Jenkins is sufficient; the consequence is limited to unauthorized execution of already configured jobs whose repository matches the supplied value.
