Stored XSS via unescaped build-log content
Published Nov 15, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Stored XSS in Jenkins BART Plugin 1.0.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through crafted build-log content. The plugin parses build logs and renders their content in the Jenkins UI without escaping attacker-controlled markup. Item/Configure permission is required to plant the content, and another user's viewing of the affected UI triggers script execution in that user's browser context.
