Command execution via unneutralized exported CSV formulas
Published Nov 7, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSV injection in WebToffee Comments Import & Export 2.3.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to place formulas in exported comment data. The CSV export path writes attacker-controlled comment fields without neutralizing leading formula characters, causing spreadsheet software to interpret them as formulas. Exploitation requires a privileged user to export the comments and open the file in spreadsheet software, where a formula can execute commands on that user's computer.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
