Reflected XSS via unsanitized request path
Published Feb 13, 2023 · Updated Mar 24, 2025
Reflected XSS in Vsourz Digital Advanced Contact form 7 DB 1.7.2 and 1.9.1 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted URL. The application copies the unsanitized request path into the page's canonical-link href, and backticks bypass its server-side backslash escaping. Exploitation requires a user to follow the crafted URL, after which the script runs in the affected site's browser context and can read or alter page data.
