Script execution via unneutralized book title
Published Nov 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 29, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Book Store Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script through a crafted book_title value. The /bsms_ci/index.php/book endpoint processes that value without neutralizing executable HTML before it reaches a browser. Exploitation requires a victim to view the resulting page; the injected script then runs in that user's browser context and can read or alter page data.
