Browser script execution via unneutralized Name input
Published Dec 2, 2022 · Updated Apr 24, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Book Store Management System 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser. The Add New System User workflow accepts a crafted Name value and renders it as active HTML or script content without neutralization. Access to the user-management function and interaction by a user who views the saved name are required; the script runs in that viewer's session.
