Improper certificate validation in Slixmpp before 1.8.3 allows remote attackers to pose as any server via XMLStream TLS connections. The XMLStream component disables SSL hostname checking and accepts certificates without verification, so a man-in-the-middle can impersonate the intended XMPP server.
