Authenticated code execution via PHAR deserialization
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Jan 8, 2025
Deserialization in SuiteCRM 7.12.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through a malicious image upload. AOS_Products Save accepts an uploaded JPEG containing PHAR metadata, and UpgradeWizard or dashlet processing opens its phar:// path and deserializes the embedded object. A valid CRM account and access to the web interface are required; successful exploitation writes and runs attacker-chosen PHP on the server.
