Browser script execution via reflected input
Published Feb 27, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in affected WAGO controller and panel firmware allows remote attackers to run script in a user's browser after interaction. CERT@VDE identifies the Web-Based Management configuration backend but does not disclose the reflected request parameter or failed encoding operation. Exploitation requires a user to connect to the compromised management interface; executed script can expose confidential information and alter browser-accessible data without interrupting availability.
