JDBC deserialization in Apache Jena SDB 3.17.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through a malicious database. SDB supplies connection details to a JDBC driver, and the MySQL driver can deserialize attacker-controlled objects returned by the database server. Exploitation requires control of the JDBC URL or database server and executes code in the SDB application process.
