Unauthenticated file read via avatar path traversal
Published Dec 15, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2025
Path traversal in RainyGao DocSys allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files through the user-avatar endpoint. UserController#getUserImg passes the controllable fileName value to file retrieval without confining the resolved path, so ../ segments escape the avatar directory. No login is required because MyInterceptor#preHandle checks allowed URLs with substring matching, and a crafted auxiliary parameter bypasses that check.
