CVE-2022-45103Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary-file read via unrestricted log archive

Published Jan 18, 2023 · Updated Apr 3, 2025

Improper input validation in Dell Unisphere for PowerMax Virtual Appliance before 9.2.3.22 allows remote authenticated users to read files. The vApp Manager Download Logs handler accepts arbitrary paths in ArchiveFilesCommand because downloadable files are not restricted to an allowlist, then packages each selected file into a retrievable ZIP archive. A low-privileged vApp Manager account and network access to the management service are required; exposure is limited to files accessible to the vApp Manager process.
