CVE-2022-45100Network attack vector

Full system compromise via improper certificate validation

Published Feb 1, 2023 · Updated Mar 26, 2025

Improper certificate validation in Dell PowerScale OneFS 8.2.x through 9.3.x allows remote attackers to fully compromise the system. The flaw is associated with Secure Remote Services, but Dell has not disclosed which certificate path accepts an invalid certificate or how trust validation fails. Exploitation requires network reachability to that service and no authentication, and successful abuse gives control of the affected cluster.
