Unauthenticated script execution via reflected request parameters
Published May 8, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Reflected XSS in Squirrly SEO 12.1.20 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts through crafted page or tab parameters. The plugin reflects the page and tab request parameters into generated WordPress pages without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires a user to follow an attacker-controlled link, after which the script runs in the user's browser under the affected site's origin and can act within that session.
