Arbitrary argument injection via xdg-open parsing

Argument injection in Xfce xfce4-settings before 4.16.4 and 4.17.x before 4.17.1 allows remote attackers to run programs with arbitrary arguments. The xfce4-mime-helper component incorrectly parses quoted parameters before invoking xdg-open, allowing attacker-controlled input to become extra browser or file-manager arguments. Exploitation requires the crafted input to reach xdg-open; successful abuse can execute unintended programs or actions with the user's desktop privileges.
