Arbitrary script execution via unneutralized URL parameter
Published Jan 4, 2023 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
Reflected XSS in Axiell Iguana before 4.5.02 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript through a crafted URL. The novelist.php endpoint reflects its url query parameter into the returned page without neutralizing attacker-controlled markup. A victim must follow the crafted link; injected script then runs in the vulnerable site's browser context and can read or alter data accessible to that session.
