Stored XSS via unneutralized Website Footer input
Published Nov 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 25, 2025
Stored XSS in WBCE CMS 1.5.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in browsers that render the Website Footer. The settings save handler accepts the Website Footer value without neutralizing active HTML and persists it for later page rendering. A valid low-privilege account and a subsequent page view are required; exploitation can alter rendered content and access browser-readable data.
