Victim-browser script execution via unneutralized Post Loop content
Published Nov 21, 2022 · Updated Apr 29, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in WBCE CMS 1.5.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser. The Overview Page settings module saves attacker-controlled markup from the Post Loop field and renders it without neutralization when the configured page is viewed. Administrative access is required to modify the page setting, and execution occurs only when a user views a page containing the saved payload.
