Database query manipulation via unsanitized editid parameter
Published Dec 7, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
SQL injection in Simple Phone Book/Directory Web App 1.0 allows remote attackers to manipulate database queries through editid. PhoneBook/edit.php accepts quote and time-delay SQL syntax in the GET parameter, producing corresponding database errors and a 10-second delay. The published assessment requires no authentication or user interaction; the proof demonstrates an error oracle and query delay, not direct data access.
