Browser script execution via unescaped show_number
Published Jan 31, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Cross-site scripting in ApolloTheme AP PageBuilder 2.4.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in a visitor's browser. The appagebuilder/apajax.php ApImageGallery request renders the show_number query value without neutralizing HTML or script content. Exploitation requires a visitor to open the crafted URL, after which attacker-controlled code runs in that visitor's site context and can read or modify browser-accessible data.
