Unauthenticated command execution via OpenVPN password injection
Published Nov 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 29, 2025
OS command injection in TOTOlink A7100RU 7.4cu.2313_B20191024 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via OpenVPN configuration. The setting/setOpenVpnCfg routine incorporates the attacker-controlled pass parameter into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants command execution on the router.
