Session hijacking via unchanged post-login JSESSIONID
Published Nov 21, 2022 · Updated Apr 29, 2025
Session fixation in Maggioli Appalti & Contratti 9.12.2 allows remote attackers to hijack a user's authenticated web session. The login flow preserves a server-issued pre-authentication JSESSIONID instead of assigning a new identifier after successful authentication. Exploitation requires inducing a user to authenticate with a session ID already known to the attacker, exposing that user's session without reported data modification or service interruption.
