Code execution via WordPerfect parser stack overflow
Published Dec 17, 2022 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Micro Focus KeyView within HCL Notes 9 and 10 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted WordPerfect file. The wp6sr.dll parser writes beyond a stack buffer while processing untrusted WordPerfect content. Delivery and processing of the crafted file are required; successful exploitation can crash the client or run code in its process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
