CVE-2022-44751Network attack vector

Code execution via crafted Ami Pro file

Published Dec 17, 2022 · Updated Apr 17, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in KeyView lasr.dll in HCL Notes 9 and 10 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted Ami Pro file. The lasr.dll parser writes attacker-controlled Ami Pro data beyond a stack buffer while processing the document. No authentication is required; successful delivery can crash the Notes process or run code in its context.
