CVE-2022-44738Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unneutralized CSV formulas

Published Nov 7, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

CSV injection in Patrick Robrecht Posts and Users Stats 1.1.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to plant formulas in exports. The CSV export writes user display names, category names, and tag names beginning with spreadsheet metacharacters without prefixing a neutralizing quote. Subscriber-level access can supply the data, but a privileged user must export and open the file in formula-processing spreadsheet software for code or command execution.
