Code execution via DirectMusic DLS integer overflow

Windows Media in affected Microsoft Windows releases allows remote attackers to execute code after a user opens a crafted DLS file. DirectMusic's CInstrObj::Size truncates accumulated articulation sizes into a DWORD, so CDirectMusicPortDownload allocates an undersized buffer before CArticulation::Write copies connection data out of bounds. Exploitation requires user interaction with a malicious file and executes code in the affected user's context, allowing data access, modification, or service interruption.
